A big Milestone! Mr Welder takes a leave from the boat and goes to lower grounds. Finally done with all welding onboard.

Next was the cockpit frame. I had done a prototype in wood and now was the time for the one-off building.

Starting with small simple pices attached with screws and then joining them with the plastic messy stuff mixed with glasfiber rug...
The instrument panel was created offset from the cockpitframe to get enough hight for instruments. Instruments will also be closer to the cockpit and easier to reach. Room for 5 130x130 instruments.

The complete frame was then removed from the boat to be finalised later.

The stainless cockpit floor was drilled and mounted for good with 84 screws....

Last picture of the hull before sandblasting. All holes is covered and my green coffy cup is to be removed...
yeah!
After blasting 1950 kilo of sand Fiona turned grey. Suprisingly there where no filler on the hull at all. The hull is a good example on a smooth welded hull with no bumps whats so ever. Really nice.
Left you can see the plating I restored some years ago...
After 90 liters of epoxy in two layers.
