The radar mount is almost ready. The process of designing is more then just get the radar on top of a pole, all the other stuff like anchor light, deck lights, fluxgate compass and even the rear lantern is to be on this pole.

On top - above the radar - will the antennas be located, GPS, AIS/VHF, WLAN etc

I did some thinking about how to make radar leveling during sail. There are basically four ways of solving this.

1. Automatic hydralic.
2. Hanging radar - like the ones on aft stay...
3. Manual with some conduit cable etc.
4. No leveling at all.

I will go for the first alternative as soon as i get some 500€ that I have no use for... ;-) Until then it's simple as possible.
Quite some time is used to solve problems or to come up with ideas. Sketching is - for me - a good way of visualising toughts. And I'm old enough not to bother that I actually can't draw...

I scanned these sketches just to remember that I tried to think before i welded the radar stand. I probably will regret somethings anyway in the future.
