March 2020 -Yes, again...
Colleagues and friends died in Covid, too soon as always.
Fiona was almost sold in end of March but buyer withdraw due to Covid. However we coulnd't travel anywhere abroad so; Yes we have a VERY comfy boat! :-)
Lets do some upgrades! Time to finalise the kitchen drawers.
At build time hmm 14 years ago (!) i planned for the future with making room for a standard width drawer of 400 mm. At the time I had a readymade teak module with 3 drawers and a hatch that I mounted quickly.
It have worked very well - a bit small but it stayed in the boat as it did it's job very well.
New drawers on their way.
Four new drawer with larger depths and widths and on rails...
But wait!
While we are here, hmm Let get a better refridgerator too.... hmm but the old fridgebox doesn't suite the new condensor... Ok a new box needs to be welded! :-)
Lets ruin the kitchen area!
Measured and draw a model of the box and down to basement and embrased the welder...
To the left is the stove and the roght area is where the olb bokx where. There are some mis-coloring on the shelf due to bad sealant used - it shrinked and let in air which then condensated to water and dripped down. Wery little and no mould at all - but very annoing.
To the left is a close up on the insulation with the white sealant that didn't worked as expected - it shrunk!
Don't remeber any brand but Bye the expensive one!
Oops!
Did the first bend on the box and stopped!
Why not polish the inside NOW! :-) Smart! (blockhead)
Planning the pices on the sheet, cutting and tacking and welding and testing: Yes it's water-proof!
At least one bottle of beer down here...
No, standard beer bottle is a thumb too tall here. Maybe Gin?
