During february we went skiing for a week in the Swedish fjäll (mountain). Tandådalen, Hundfjället och Lindvallen. Lots of new fallen snow! :-) Co-Welder #2 (he's fixing his glases) was on ski this day! He is usually a snowboarder!
This winter had more snow then ever during the last 15 years we have lived here. And quite cold too. So more time was spent down in the basement fixin all sorts of things too the boat.
To the left is the owen, completly dismantled and cleaned. I even replaced all insulation (glas-woll?). New bolts instead of the rusty ones. Still missing the control buttons and I will re-chrome the "web" on top.
Below is the shaft/bering thing it got fresh threads and a new bearing. New bolts will come. Of course it's painted!
I also changed berings on a alternator (My father changed alternator on his car and i got the old one) and polished it up. So now I have a good 80 Amps Bosch alternator! Yes, forgot to mention that the original Lucas Marine alternator is probably gone to his maker...no wonder - Lucas made it quite complicated with lots of small cables inside. I must take som photos...
So now all holes into the pit is gone. The cats apperently likes to be in the boat house...
Inside I finished the tank fastenings. Four new fastening was welded to the hull. I don't want these four 200 kilos (with full tank) to be flying around during bad weather!
The mast-ring will also be maintained.
