The original fronthatch was solid disallowing light to enter the forward cabin. A bit to large and hard to open. Risk for personal damage when passing thure the hatch too.
So away with the old frame. About 750mm X 800mm witch much much to much.

Restorred the frames and deck stringers.
A large new plate and two smaller made this tiny hole - well about 610mm wide.

The centrally placed bollard is to be move to the edge of deck. A new one will be manufactered and placed on portside. Some where here will the new windlass be placed as soon as I solved the chain storage/transport problem...
Cut the hole up to the correct size, 620x620mm witch will be a large enough for small bikes and sails.

Here it's almost ready, just some grinding left.

The NEMO aluminium hatch will go on above a teakframe that will take care of deck curve and most important the galvanic things.

The hatch is now moved aft about 50 cm witch will give more room for the windlass placement.
