I had the liferaft checked by an expert and got: "...looks like new..". It's an German one - BFA Ballongfabrik Augsburg. The company started 1897 and have buildt zeppelins air ships!
And when we use this raft we could practice on the German language too. ;-)
The raft was really in perfect condition. There where all kinds of gear inside it. Water, paddels, fireworks, fishing gear, flashlight, mirror etc. The inspection of a raft is mostly about checking the rafts air-fillsystem. Its a highpressure gasbottle that has to be tested and refilled. The raft itself should not leek to much air (or sea water). Batteries will be changed, fireworks etc etc.

The rafts was quite modern - it's from 1972! - electrical lights in- and outside sea.anchor and ballast pockets below, entry ladder, rainwater collector etc.

The only thing i could be missing is double (isolated) floor.
So away with the old corroded outlets for exthaust and bilge pumps and in with new fresh 316L -one's.

The two small holes is drain for lazarett department.
